Following are our basic expectations for our community. This list is not to be viewed as comprehensive.
Academic integrity and honesty are the cornerstones of any educational institution, and so they are therefore fundamental principles for our community at Avenues. While the topic of academic integrity is a broad one and no list can be entirely comprehensive, examples include plagiarism, cheating, and taking credit for work that is not one’s own. Honesty, in all matters and on all levels, whether academic or otherwise, is essential to the trust upon which our community is founded.
Avenues recognizes the incredible potential of emerging technologies and artificial intelligence to enhance and enrich learning. However, it is essential we uphold academic integrity and our valued behaviors, fostering intellectual, creative, and critical thinking. Just as we credit human authors for their work, we need to also attribute text, insights, phrases, and other media formats generated by artificial intelligence. All sources, whether from human or artificial sources, should be properly cited and limited to a few sentences at a time to encourage original thought and learning.
The use, possession, distribution or sale of alcohol, tobacco and/or other controlled substances on school grounds, in a school vehicle or at any school event at which students may be present, is prohibited. Violation of this rule is grounds for serious consequences, which may include immediate termination of enrollment.
With limited exceptions subject to prior approval by the head of school or director of operations and administration, alcohol is not permitted at any school event or school-sponsored or school-organized event, whether held on school grounds or otherwise, at which students may be present.
Parents are strongly encouraged to exercise sound judgment when hosting an event at home or at any facility at which students may be present.
Possession or use of dangerous weapons or objects used as weapons or of any incendiary materials capable of starting a fire or triggering any smoke or fire alarm around the campus (including, but not limited to firearms, fireworks or other explosives) poses a serious risk to the lives and property of our community and is prohibited.
Avenues prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind between any members of our community on the basis of race, color, creed, religion, national or ethnic origin, citizenship status, age, marital status, sex, sexual orientation, gender, genetic information, physical appearance, veteran status, disability or any other factor protected by applicable local, state or federal law.
Discrimination and harassment that are prohibited can occur between and among any combination of individuals at Avenues and may manifest themselves in a variety of ways. These may include, but are not limited to, repeated verbal or physical conduct that disparages or is hostile to a member of our community when the conduct:
unreasonably interferes with the affected individual’s performance; or
creates an intimidating, hostile or offensive work or learning environment.
Harassment may include, but is not limited to, repeated:
verbal abuse and offensive jokes and comments;
threatening, intimidating or hostile acts; and
display or distribution in any form of offensive materials, writings or pictures that denigrate or show hostility towards an individual or group because of a protected characteristic.
Please note that discrimination or harassment may exist when an individual who is the target of such behavior is offended, regardless of the intent of the individual who initiates the behavior.
Sexual Harassment
Sexual harassment may originate from a person of either sex and may be directed against persons of the same or opposite sex.
Sexual harassment includes, but is not limited to, repeated:
intentional physical conduct that is sexual in nature, such as touching, pinching, sexually-oriented gestures, noises, jokes or comments about a person’s sexuality or sexual experience;
unwelcome requests or conduct inviting a romantic or sexual relationship;
display of visual materials that are sexually suggestive, demeaning or pornographic; or
email or electronic communications between or among community members, as well as online postings of a sexual nature in any form, about a community member.
Sexual harassment exists when:
submission to sexual conduct or requests is an explicit or implied term or condition of the affected individual’s employment or participation in school programs or activities; or
submission to or rejection of such conduct or request by the affected individual is used as a basis for employment or other decisions affecting that individual; or
such conduct unreasonably interferes with the affected individual’s performance or creates an intimidating, hostile or offensive working or learning environment.
Avenues expects that the individual who believes he or she has experienced discrimination or harassment of any kind or has witnessed discriminatory treatment or harassment of any kind will report such conduct promptly to the designated safeguarding lead or the director of people and culture.
Avenues adheres to a supplemental investigation protocol for any behavior that involves alleged sexual misconduct.
We are a community that embraces and supports all through our values of welcome, safety and respect. We are an environment where individual choices are honored. Equally important, given our focus on students, regardless of age, we will offer support and partnership with parents/guardians as students explore and express their evolving identities.
We understand that our students need a supportive and flexible environment to publicly express or present their gender. This may be captured through behavior, dress as expressed through Avenues’ style guide, speech, voice and/or even in their choice of names and pronouns. We encourage that this expression is proactively communicated, respectfully received and devoid of stereotypes.
When a student applies to an external program, such as a summer program, another secondary school or college, it is typical for such program applications to include a summary of a student’s academic and disciplinary history at Avenues.
Students and parents are responsible for understanding their obligation to report and update information in a student’s college application pursuant to the college’s or university’s reporting guidelines or in a student’s external application to another secondary school, summer program, or other institution.
As members of the National Association of College Admissions Counseling (NACAC) and International Association of College Admission Counseling (IACAC), Avenues supports the Statement of Principles and Good Practice that outlines guiding principles in communication between universities and secondary school members. This communication includes the Avenues transcript. Avenues values honesty and students are required to report suspensions (separation from school) when requested in their applications, supplements, admissions portals or enrollment agreements. If required, deans, college counselors, and other Avenues academic staff will respond to inquiries from external institutions about a student’s transcript or other records at Avenues.
This reporting includes infractions that occur after the submission of an application, enrollment deposit, or otherwise while a student is still enrolled at Avenues.
For more information about reporting, requesting transcripts, and the college process, please see the Avenues Shenzhen College Counseling Handbook.
Avenues recognizes the power of technology on the student learning experience. We want technology at Avenues to facilitate creativity, innovation, collaboration and communication among all our students, faculty and staff, both at one site and at our global campuses. To this end, Avenues promotes safe, legal, responsible and effective uses of technology, outlined in the following policies:
The Avenues Responsible Use Policy (RUP) outlines what the user is responsible for.
Avenues believes technology is an important tool for students, teachers and parents. The primary use of the equipment by the student is for the student’s educational programs.
As a user of technology, you understand it is your responsibility to abide by the Acceptable Use Policy and to honor the Responsible Use Policy and live by the Avenues community values of welcome, safety and respect in all settings—online, offline, at school and at home. You understand that your actions can affect others. You will be responsible for your behavior. Violating the RUP will result in disciplinary actions which may include suspension of privileges, suspension, or expulsion. Violations of the RUP which are also violations of law, may be referred to appropriate local, state or federal law enforcement officials for prosecution.
Along with following the Acceptable Use Policy, students should do the following:
Create a strong password and never share it with anyone (except to share it with parents).
Use Avenues provided account for email and document sharing. This should be checked at least once a day, daily, throughout the school year.
In the Upper/Secondary Division, create a passcode for iPad security, and a password for MacBook.
Turn off and secure iPad/MacBook after they are done working to protect their work and information.
Notify an administrator or teacher if an inappropriate or threatening email or message is received, or if you encounter inappropriate material online.
Notify security and the technology department if equipment is lost or stolen.
Avenues students “welcome" all learning opportunities; therefore, you will:
Use what you know to create new ideas, products or processes.
Judge which online information is true and false.
Ask questions and seek help when using school technology.
Have a positive attitude and be willing to explore different or new technologies.
Avenues students value “safety”; therefore, you will:
Be aware of the privacy settings on any website you visit.
Understand that anything you do online or electronically is not private and can be seen.
Keep personal information about yourself, your family, your friends or Avenues faculty or staff to yourself.
Create a strong password and keep it to yourself.
Represent yourself honestly; ask for help if you feel unsafe, bullied or if you witness unkind behavior.
Communicate only with people you know.
Follow safety guidelines posted by sites to which you subscribe.
Back up your data from your laptop and/or iPad.
Avenues students value “respect”; therefore, you will:
Use school-issued equipment for instructional and school-related activities only.
Respond thoughtfully to the opinions, ideas and values of others.
Take good care of all school-issued equipment by always keeping equipment in school-issued case, free of stickers and writing.
Store the equipment in a locker, backpack or other locked and secure location; equipment will not be stored on the floor or in places where it may be easily damaged or broken.
Report misuse and/or inappropriate content to teachers or adults.

Be mindful of how your words are interpreted by others.
You understand that your actions can affect others and that you will be accountable for your behavior. You will not participate in activities that are in violation of the RUP, therefore,
You will NOT: (a partial list, not comprehensive)
Share passwords with anyone, except your parents.
Take part in behavior that puts you or others at risk.
Upload or post personal information, private communications or photos of other people without permission.
Send or share mean, bullying or inappropriate emails or texts.
Send or share inappropriate photos, videos or images.
To instruct their own child(ren) regarding the rules of use contained in this document, accepting full responsibility if and when that child’s use of technology is not in a school setting and understanding that the child is subject to the same rules and agreements at school and not at school. Finally, understanding that Avenues encourages parents and guardians to supervise and monitor any online activity.
This Avenues Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) provides the rules and framework for using information and technology in a safe, legal and responsible manner.
User includes anyone—employee, student, contractor or guest—who uses Avenues technology, including, but not limited to, computers, networks, Internet email, forums and other forms of technology services and products.
Network includes wired and wireless technology networks—school and headquarters networks, cellular networks and commercial or community wireless networks accessible to students, employees and guests.
Equipment includes smartphone type devices,, displays, and portable computers such as MacBooks, PC laptops, iPads, desktops, printers, copiers and storage devices.
Jailbreaking is modifying the operating system of a portable device such as a smartphone, in particular modifying an iOS operating system.
Cyberbullying is the repeated use of information technology—including email, instant messages, blogs, chatrooms, cell phones, pagers and gaming systems, among other mechanisms—to deliberately harass, threaten or intimidate others.
Sexting is defined as the act of sending sexually explicit messages and/or photographs, primarily between mobile phones (definition courtesy of Wikipedia).
We expect all users to comply with all Avenues Acceptable Use Policy, act in a responsible manner and honor the terms and conditions set by the classroom teacher, the division, the school and the administration. Use of Avenues technology equipment, network systems or services in violation of any of these community rules or community norms is unacceptable and will incur disciplinary action including, but not limited to, termination of privileges and/or termination of the education services agreement by Avenues.
All users are expected to protect Avenues’ computing resources. Theft, vandalism, tampering, destruction or disregard for the physical condition of equipment, systems and network, as well as any action that can jeopardize the property of the equipment, systems and network are unacceptable. Users know that the equipment, systems and network will remain property of Avenues (or the relevant third party, in case of shared resources) at all times.
Users shall not, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, assign, transfer, lend, lease, dispose or encumber in any way the equipment.
Report any type of use of technology in violation of these or other school policies to school administrators. Damage, loss or theft of school-owned equipment is subject to a fee, without prejudice to other disciplinary actions, including, but not limited to, termination of privileges and/or termination of the education services agreement by Avenues.
Graduating students retaining an @avenues.org email account after graduation are expected to abide by all current Acceptable Use Policy and Responsible Use Agreement maintained by Avenues for the duration of their use of any @avenues.org account, which can be withdrawn or terminated at any time by Avenues, by means of e-mail communication with two days in advance. Alumni using @avenues.org email accounts may request a copy of the current year’s Acceptable Use Policy and Responsible Use Agreement at any time.
Students in kindergarten through 5th grade are part of the 1:1 iPad program and are assigned an iPad for use throughout the school year. Students in grades 6–12 are part of our 1+1 MacBook program and are assigned a MacBook. From 24-25, incoming Secondary Division students will use iPads on demand, in a shared-device model.
The student shall immediately notify the school’s technology department if the equipment is not in good operating condition or is in need of repair.
Parents/guardians will be responsible for paying any fees related to the loss of or major damage to the iPad, Pencil and/or MacBook, chargers, cords and/or cases. Minor repairs for the iPad that are covered with AppleCare+ will be charged at the current AppleCare+ deductible rate.
MacBook repairs that are not covered by AppleCare and/or warranty will be charged at the current Apple repair rates.
Avenues is not a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) school. Students must use school-issued devices. If a student brings a non-Avenues issued device to school, Avenues holds the right to withhold access to Avenues’ onsite network, resources and applications.
Student devices (iPad and MacBook) are equipped with protective cases. Cases must be kept on devices at all times.
Avenues is not responsible for damages suffered by users, including loss of data, delays, or other problems resulting from use of its technology.
Please Note: In cases of misuse, abuse/loss of the iPad/Pencil/MacBook, the parents/guardians will be financially responsible for the full cost of repair or replacement of the iPad/ Pencil/MacBook.
Avenues provides students with digital communications software and accounts to allow for collaboration on school projects, to communicate with their teachers and one another and continue learning regardless of their locations.
The digital communications accounts of all students and all employees can be monitored by the school administrators. This includes all GSuite for Education and Microsoft 365 for Education accounts managed by Avenues.
Avenues has the right to revoke any student’s account if it is determined that the account was used inappropriately or in a manner that violates the Acceptable Use Policy and Responsible Use Agreement.
We encourage all students to report to school personnel any digital communication they receive that they feel is inappropriate, bullying or threatening; these matters are taken seriously.
The use of these communication tools is limited to instructional and school-related activities only.
All students in Small World through 12th grade are assigned an Avenues email address. In Small World through 3rd grade, students use their email address for account sign-in purposes only.
Email accounts for students below 5th grade are restricted for internal use only. They will not be able to send or receive emails outside of the Avenues domain.
Students in 6th grade and above are able to receive and send emails outside of the Avenues domain.
Avenues is not liable whatsoever for the content of the e-mails and communications sent by the student. Nothing in Avenues’ policies shall be interpreted as an obligation for Avenues to detect any inappropriate use of the account, the network, the equipment or violation to AUP and/or RUA.
Content
All types of communications deemed inappropriate and/or illegal in a school environment are also unacceptable on the network. Transmitting, viewing or publishing content that is pornographic, obscene, offensive, threatening, abusive, harassing, bullying, unethical, illegal or disruptive to the school’s learning environment is prohibited. Cyberbullying and sexting are also prohibited behaviors. Sending unwanted material to others is considered inappropriate and may be considered harassment.
Security
Necessary security precautions will vary with the age of the student, the manner in which information is shared and the dynamic nature of online tools. No student should be identified by name in an external school-related publication or website or in a way that allows a student to be located in space and time without the express permission of the director of communications. Avenues cannot be responsible for the security or accessibility of content stored on Internet servers not managed by Avenues.
Identity Management
Anonymous or pseudonymous electronic communications are inappropriate when used as a way to remove responsibility for your actions. Publishing anonymously, with an invented name or with the username or persona of another person for malicious purposes, is prohibited.
It is never appropriate to pose as another real person online.
Software and Licensing
Software piracy occurs when one installs and/or uses software for which proper payment has not been made. Protected software may not be copied into, from or by any Avenues computer, except by license. Copying software among computers within the school is prohibited. Copying software between school and home computers is also prohibited. Avenues enters into a variety of software licensing agreements that limit the number of copies that may be installed. Users authorized to install software are expected to consult with the technology department when considering purchasing or installing software. The vice president of information systems and technology is responsible for ensuring that Avenues is compliant with software vendor licensing agreements.
The technology department staff will remove unregistered software from school computers until proper licensing can be verified. Personally-owned software must be legally licensed if installed on an Avenues-owned device. Avenues-owned equipment shall only run licensed operating systems. Hacking or modifying the operating system of any device, including jailbreaking, is prohibited.
Copyright Infringement
Avenues’ systems may not be used to steal content owned or copyrighted by others. Copyright protection applies to music, video, pictures, images and data, in addition to text. Fair use laws regarding copyright apply. Guides to fair use may be obtained from the Avenues Library & Media Department. In cases where the law is unclear, users should assume that anything published on the internet is copyrighted.
Legal Documents
Computers and associated peripherals such as printers and scanners may not be used to create fraudulent or counterfeit documents, such as IDs, currency, tickets, legal documents, etc.
Avenues students are expected to refrain from recreational, commercial and personal digital activities during the Avenues school day, or on Avenues Equipment or accounts, unless Avenues’ teachers or administrators have given them express permission to do so. They are also expected to refrain from Cyberbullying and Sexting at all times, both of which may be grounds for disciplinary action, including, but not limited to, termination of privileges and/or termination of the education services agreement by Avenues.
Tampering with IT management tools installed on machines is strictly prohibited.
Recreational/Personal Activity
Access to school technology is provided for educational purposes only. Using school technology resources for recreational or personal activities can limit access to other users. In addition, doing so can incur unauthorized operational costs Avenues is unwilling to assume.
Commercial Activity
Avenues’ networks are not to be used for commercial purposes, such as, but not limited to, marketing, reselling bandwidth or business transactions between commercial organizations. Commercial advertising is forbidden. If you are unsure of the definition of commercial activity, consult Avenues’ director of technology.
Accounts
Avenues provides accounts only to members of the Avenues community. Each account may be used only by the individual to whom the account is assigned. Users may not authorize anyone, including family members, to use their account(s) or login information for any reason. Users are responsible for all activity on accounts assigned to them and must take all reasonable precautions, including password maintenance and file protection measures, to prevent use of their accounts by unauthorized persons.
All users are expected to protect their files, accounts and passwords by choosing passwords difficult to guess and by changing these passwords frequently. You may not let anyone else (including family members) use your account. Sharing passwords with peers is a violation subject to disciplinary or corrective action by Avenues. You may not use anyone else’s account anywhere on the Avenues network (including family accounts).
Avenues reserves the right to access school email and student accounts for any reason at any time.
Data/Backing Up
Any information stored on any Avenues computer’s hard drive, or information storage device that were purchased/leased by Avenues, are considered property of Avenues, including loaner laptops.
Avenues reserves the right to review data stored on student’s laptops/iPads in the course of normal laptop/iPad maintenance and to inspect student laptop/iPad data in the course of a disciplinary investigation.
Students may store/save documents or other files on the equipment. However, students are responsible for backing up all their important and needed documents and files to their @avenues.org Google/M365 Drive. In the event of loss of such documents or other files from school equipment, the school’s responsibility is limited to reloading the school’s standard software suite on the equipment.
Students are welcome to ask for assistance if they need help backing up to their @avenues.org Drive.
Using Shared Resources
Avenues owns all data stored on school-owned equipment, including but not limited to the data network, computers, mobile data storage devices and all connected peripherals. Shared resources on the Avenues network include file servers; other computers on which users’ work is stored; devices containing Avenues’ information; and hosted online services with which Avenues has contracted to provide services.
Mechanisms exist to prevent unauthorized access by others and protect private information. Users are prohibited from circumventing these mechanisms or to search through folders to find unprotected information. Information you have not been invited to use is not yours to access. It is unacceptable for a user to access and read another user’s email or file, even if the email or file is unprotected. The owner of the files must grant you permission to access files.
All users are expected to protect their files, accounts and passwords by choosing passwords difficult to guess and by changing these passwords frequently. You may not attempt to bypass password security features in any manner.
Technical support personnel at Avenues may access others’ files when necessary for the maintenance of computer systems. When performing this maintenance, every effort is made to respect the privacy of a user’s files. However, users cannot reasonably expect the same level of privacy they would have on a computer they own. In addition, these computers and systems are for school-related work only and not personal use.
Avenues maintains the right to monitor school-owned technology resources electronically to ensure that system performance, management and maintenance functions, policy compliance and system security are intact and that problems can be diagnosed and resolved quickly when disruptions to normal service occur.
As a result, individuals using any Avenues shared resources, whether Avenues-owned or personal devices when connected to Avenues’ network, are subject to having their activities monitored by the network administrator in conjunction with school administrators. Anyone using this system expressly consents to such monitoring. When monitoring reveals possible acceptable use policy violations, systems personnel may provide this data to school administrators and/or proper authorities.
Avenues maintains the right to enable remote use of image capture hardware and software on school-owned devices believed to be lost or stolen. This action may only be initiated by Avenues’ network administrator following a formal directive from the school administrator or his/her designee. When authorized, the network administrator employs a utility for that specific purpose and delivers it to the device using remote management software already in place.
Avenues may share data gathered through remote image capture with law enforcement officials as required or compelled by law. Avenues may use data gathered through remote image capture in any internal proceeding, such as a student or employee disciplinary hearing.
Loaner Device Policy for Students
All students are responsible for bringing their assigned devices to school every day. The technology department stocks a limited number of devices that can be loaned out only under certain circumstances.
Negligent or habitual issues with a device may result in limited access to a loaner computer.
Every loaner request will be uated based on the individual's past technology history and the specific circumstances of their current need. The availability of a loaner is not guaranteed.
Lost or Stolen Devices
In the event that a student's device is lost or stolen, the school will loan the appropriate spare device (Macbook or iPad) for the student's use until the original device is found or a new device is purchased, and the technology team will notify the student's dean or classroom teacher and the student's parents in a timely manner.
If a lost or stolen device is not retrieved after three days, the device will be locked by the management system.
If the lost or stolen device is not found after ten business days, the student may receive a replacement device of the same model as the lost or stolen device.
If a stolen device is found, the student must return the replacement device within two days or it will be locked on the third day.
Broken Devices
In the event of a broken device, the school will loan the replacement device (Macbook or iPad) for the student's use, and the technology team will notify the student's dean or classroom teacher in a timely manner.
When the broken device is repaired, the technology department will notify the student and their dean/classroom teacher, and the student must bring the loaner to the tech office within two days, or on the third day it will be locked. Repaired devices will not be released without the return of the loaner.
Misplaced Devices (e.g. left at home, cannot locate)
Students are required to thoroughly search for their devices before approaching the help desk.
If the device is not lost or stolen, with the student's dean or classroom teacher's approval, the student will receive a loaner. The technology team will notify the student's dean or classroom teacher and the student will be able to pick up the loaner on the day.
Students are expected to return the loaner by the end of the school day, and in special cases, the student's dean or classroom teachers should make a request with explanation.
If a student does not return the loaner by the end of the school day, the school will contact the student's dean or class teacher and the student themselves the following morning to inform them of the overdue status of the loaner.
Technology will not immediately begin a network search for a missing device unless the student has already searched for it in classrooms, cafeterias, gyms, public spaces on campus and so on, and their own locker, and asked teachers, operations managers, classmates, friends, and family members. If the student is unable to locate the device after 24 hours of actively searching, the tech team will conduct an internet search for the device.
Chargers and Pencils
Loaner or second chargers or pencils are not available to students.
Broken chargers and pencils need to be exchanged for a new one. Students are responsible for providing the replacement item.
Do your own work! Do not use other people’s intellectual property without their permission. It is intellectual dishonesty and plagiarism, as well as a violation of copyright law, to copy and paste others’ thoughts. When paraphrasing another’s ideas, be sure to cite your source with the URL. It is also good practice to hyperlink to your sources.
Be aware that pictures may also be protected under copyright laws. Verify that either you have permission to use the image or the image is copied under Creative Commons attribution. Students have access to many databases through our Library and Media team.
Be aware of what you post online. Social media venues including wikis, blogs, photo and video sharing sites are very public. What you contribute leaves a digital footprint for all to see. Do not post anything you wouldn’t want friends, parents, teachers or future employers to see.
Understand you are accountable for your postings and other electronic communications. This includes responsibility for any online activities conducted with a school email address or when using school property, including school-supplied laptops and iPads, networks and other resources.
Follow the school’s code of conduct when writing online. It is acceptable to disagree with someone else’s opinions; however, do it in a respectful way. Make sure that criticism is responsible.
Be safe online. Never give out personal information about yourself or other students, including, but not limited to, last name, phone number, address, birthdate and picture. Do not share your password with anyone except your parents.
Linking to other websites to support your thoughts and ideas is recommended. However, be sure to read the entire article prior to linking to ensure all information is appropriate for a school setting.
How you represent yourself online is an extension of yourself. Do not misrepresent yourself by using someone else’s identity.
Blog and wiki posts should be well-written. Follow writing conventions including proper grammar, capitalization and punctuation. If you edit someone else’s work, be sure it is in the spirit of improving the writing.
If you run across inappropriate material that makes you feel uncomfortable or is not respectful, tell your teacher or advisor right away.
Students who do not abide by these terms and conditions may lose their opportunity to take part in a project and/or may lose access to future use of online tools.
We educate students to be successful in the digital world. IPads, computers and other educational tools are employed in the classroom to enhance learning. With the help of full-time tech integrators, teachers and students have access to all the technology they need.
Students must turn off cell phones and smart watches and store them in their lockers while they are in the school building..
Students who need to make a phone call must do so from an Avenues phone and are asked to leave a message so as not to alarm parents.
If parents need to reach their student or pass along a message, please call the operations team or email the student at their Avenues email address for secondary students.
Members of our community are reminded that their behavior extends beyond the walls of the school to both their online and offline activities. Conduct that is intentionally disrespectful, demeaning, abusive or damaging to the reputation of our school or any member of our community—including partners and guests— is inconsistent with our values and will be grounds for disciplinary action. Parents are reminded that they have primary responsibility for managing their children’s access to and use of electronics and social media.
Parents, guardians and caregivers are valued members of the Avenues community, and as such, we expect them to uphold our community values of welcome, safety and respect, just as we expect students and colleagues. If there is an instance where we believe a parent, guardian or caregiver is not upholding our community values or undermining school policies and procedures, we may require them to meet with a panel of our campus leadership team for an administrative review and enrollment may be terminated.
To foster a neat, unified, and inclusive campus environment, Avenues Shenzhen has established detailed dress guidelines for students across all divisions. This guide helps students present themselves confidently and appropriately at school, and assists parents in preparing uniforms and attire that meet school requirements. Please review this guide carefully before the school year begins and help your child dress accordingly, supporting a positive and welcoming school culture together.
If the student enrollment letter or other supporting documents are required, the parents should contact the operations manager in each division at least one week in advance and confirm the students’ identification information, such as passport number and ID number etc. , and share the purpose of the proof letter.
To ensure the health and safety of all students on campus, we have developed a comprehensive set of health policies. These cover school entry medical requirements, on-campus health procedures, contagious disease prevention and return-to-school protocols, medication guidelines, and the management of students with special medical needs. We kindly ask all families to review the full policy carefully and reach out to the Health Office with any questions or concerns.
